e-Government Authority (e-GA) – Tanzania Government E-Services

The e-Government Authority (e-GA) is a public agency established under the law for “Government Online Systems” (Sheria ya Serikali Mtandao No. 10 of 2019). EGA+1 Its mandate is to coordinate, manage, and promote the use of information and communication technology (ICT) across public institutions in Tanzania. EGA+2EGA+2

Through e-GA, the Tanzanian government provides digital platforms that simplify access to government services, reduce bureaucracy, and ensure transparency. The agency builds, certifies, and maintains IT systems for public institutions; develops and registers official government websites under the .go.tz / .mil.tz domain; issues policy, guidelines and standards for ICT governance; offers technical consultancy and support; and provides help-desk services. e-GA also leads research and innovation efforts, publishes technical and legal frameworks (policies, standards, guidelines), and ensures digital service delivery conforms to high quality and security standards (ISO 9001:2015 certified).
